Hugh Jackman Hits Broadway As Harry Houdini

Hugh Jackman is rumored to star in a Broadway musical as magic man Harry Houdini, reports FOX.

Former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman is writing the music. Former magazine editor Kurt Andersen is reportedly working on the script. Hugh has already been working on magic routines and will supposedly replicate big Houdini tricks on stage.

The Aussie actor already played a magician in 2006’s The Prestige. Producers may ask David Blaine and Cirque du Soleil to spice up the show.

Hugh, 40, won a 2004 Tony Award for his Broadway portrayal of Australian songwriter and performer Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz.
